
Neil is an Associate in our specialist Intellectual Property team in Edinburgh. He advises both individuals and business clients operating in many different industries.
Neil studied at the University of Edinburgh and completed a Masters in Intellectual Property Law before undertaking an internship at the EU Intellectual Property Office working as a trade mark examiner. Thereafter Neil completed his traineeship before joining Thorntons.
On a day to day basis Neil advises clients on a wide range of Intellectual Property matters including: IP commercialisation, licensing, IT procurement and supply agreements, media/entertainment, gambling, freedom of information, data protection, regulatory compliance and copyright as well as trade mark work comprising of national and international registrations and contentious trade mark oppositions.
