Karen Farrell

Karen is a Solicitor in our specialist Employment team. Working closely with Partners, Noele McClelland and Debbie Fellows she advises a broad range of business and individual clients, including SMEs and Universities. Karen regularly advises clients on settlement agreements, employment contracts and service agreements, managing ill health and absence, disciplinary and grievance matters, discrimination and workplace procedures, she also represents clients at Employment Tribunals and assists in providing in-house training to clients.

Karen initially studied for an Honours degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry before undertaking the accelerated LLB at the University of Glasgow and her diploma at the University of Strathclyde. Before joining Thorntons, Karen previously worked for a regulatory body and has considerable experience of investigating and presenting cases before Fitness to Practice panels.
