Leading law firm Thorntons has launched its annual Charity Wills initiative for 2017 and one Montrose business has signed up to create a Will for each of its employees – all in aid of Cash for Kids.
Two decades of Charity Wills at Thorntons

Leading law firm Thorntons today launched its annual Charity Wills initiative for 2017 and hopes to drum up extra support by outlining common myths about Wills.

Making a Will is something everyone in Scotland aged over 16 should be thinking about but people often fear it’s a costly and morbid experience – this isn’t the case and September is the ideal time to get affairs in order while supporting a local cause.

Thorntons has raised more than £270,000 for Cash for Kids throughout its 21 years of Charity Wills, taking place every September.

Three new partners appointed at Thorntons

One of the largest full service law firms in Scotland has today (1 June 2017) announced the appointment of three new partners, expanding its senior team in Dundee and Edinburgh.

Two of the appointments at Thorntons are of existing associates, namely Chris Byrne and Jacqueline Henderson. The third appointment is Morna Coutts, who joins the firm after seven years at Morton Fraser.

Thorntons raises a record-breaking amount for Cash for Kids

Leading law firm Thorntons has achieved its biggest ever fundraising total for its 20th annual Charity Wills Campaign.

Thorntons has raised an impressive £42,000 after pledging its support to Cash for Kids by waiving their fees for making or updating Wills throughout September 2016.
