Lisa graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2005 and went on obtain her Diploma in Legal Practice from the Glasgow Graduate School of Law in 2006. She commenced her traineeship with Thorntons later that year and qualified in 2008. 

Lisa is a Legal Director in our Private Client team and has been based in our Cupar office since April 2017 and also works from our offices in St Andrews and Perth, advising clients throughout Fife and Perthshire. She advises individuals, families and charities on a range of issues including succession planning, trust, executry and charity administration and asset protection.

Lisa obtained her Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Diploma in Trusts and Estates (Scotland) in August 2019 and is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner. In 2021 Lisa joined the tutoring staff at the University of Dundee and tutored on the Diploma in Legal Practice Private Client Core Module stepping down at the end of the 2022/2023 academic year to focus on furthering her own studies and is currently working towards gaining her Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification.
