Lynsay joined Thorntons in September 2011 after completing her Scots Law LLB and Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Dundee.  Lynsay joined our Personal Injury team as a paralegal initially before commencing her traineeship with the firm.

During her traineeship she gained experience in Private Client, Residential Property and Litigation before returning to Personal Injury as a qualified Solicitor in 2015. Lynsay is now a key member of the firm's Personal Injury team balancing a case load of pre-litigation claims and court actions.

Working alongside specialists, Gordon McBean and Caroline Kelly, Lynsay deals with a range of Personal Injury matters, including; employer's liability claims for workplace accidents, road traffic accidents, slips and trips, and product liability claims. She has experience of both summary cause and ordinary cause procedure in the Sheriff Court.

Lynsay also appears regularly in Dundee Sheriff Court for a variety of matters including debt recovery, repossession and sequestrations as part of our local agency team.

Outside of work, Lynsay has been a member of her local community council for 10years and is currently the Treasurer and Vice Chairperson. Lynsay was also a founding member and Chair of her local community grant funding scheme; assessing and awarding funding to organisations in her community.
