At Thorntons, we recognise that applying for a UK visa is often a stressful time, particularly as UK Immigration Law is fast-paced and constantly changing, and because the outcome of the application is so important to individuals and their families.

We have been privileged to act as trusted advisor for many individuals and families throughout their UK immigration journey. We frequently support our clients from their first visa application overseas through to their application to become a permanent resident. You will receive the benefit of our decades of experience in supporting clients on their immigration journeys, and we will always consider your long-term immigration goals from the outset.

To help our clients, we offer a fixed price Initial Consultation Service and a full Representative Service:

Fixed Fee Initial Consultation Service Package: This includes an advice session with one of our immigration specialists, where we will discuss with you the requirements for the visa or citizenship route, assess your eligibility, answer any questions you have on the process, and provide a follow-up summary email. You can then either submit the application yourself or instruct us to act as your representative for the application.

Representative Service Package: We will take care of all aspects of the application process for you, acting your representative and point of contact for the Home Office, and keeping you fully updated at all stages. We will prepare an application package which will include our legal representations and your supporting documentation, and take care of uploading this to the Home Office’s portal for you.
If you have previously made an application and it has been refused by the Home Office or an Entry Clearance Officer overseas, we can help you understand the options now available to you. The best approach may be to make a fresh visa application or instead to appeal to the Immigration Tribunal. We can advise you on the best way forward and represent you in your new application or at your Tribunal hearing.
