Katy has specialisted in Intellectual Property since completing her Traineeship with the firm and qualifying as a Solicitor.

She advises individuals, businesses and public sector bodies on a wide range of Intellectual Property matters including commercialisation, licensing, the protection of confidential information and general commercial contracts. Katy has a particular interest in research and commercial collaborations and copyright law.

Katy strives to provide excellent client care and commercially focused advice. She is also a Notary Public.

Liam is a highly experienced commercial lawyer whose practice covers corporate and commercial work with a particular focus on the technology, gambling and education sectors. His practice is a mix of advisory work, commercial transactions and dispute resolution.

Liam joined Thorntons in 2010 from Dundas & Wilson (now CMS) having previously worked in London for leading media firm Harbottle & Lewis.

Kirsty has over 10 years’ experience in intellectual property law and heads up the firm’s in-house trade mark and branding agency.
