Chris specialises in rural property law including buying, selling and leasing all types of rural property.
He provides specialist advice in relation to agricultural tenancies, renewable energy projects, servitudes and sporting rights. He adopts a no nonsense approach to resolving problems and achieving clients’ goals.
Chris advises public and private sector clients and banks on a wide range of issues focussed on the rural sector. Current transactions include farm and estate purchase and sale, business and succession planning, Land Reform and voluntary registration of farm and estate titles in the Land Register of Scotland.
Chris heads up the group dealing with agricultural security work. Chris is Secretary of the Central Scotland Agricultural Valuers’ Association.
