Employment, Immigration & Visas

A solicitor in our specialist Employment and Immigration team, Maria advises both individual and business clients on a range of contentious and non-contention employment matters. She regularly assists businesses and HR professionals with settlement agreements, redundancy consultations, grievance and disciplinary procedures, employment contracts and Employment Tribunal claims.

Maria also provides immigration advice for individuals and businesses, including advice on Sponsor Licences, Brexit, the EU Settlement Scheme, nationality and family applications. During her traineeship, Maria spent six months on secondment at the Office of the Advocate General where she advised the Home Office on immigration matters. She has a particular interest in the immigration implications of Brexit and the new points-based immigration system.

Maria also supports clients seeking representation in the Employment Tribunal. For example, she is currently working with a large employer in defending a claim of constructive dismissal.

Maria prides herself on her client focus and strives to provide pragmatic and implementable advice to her clients. Maria is also fluent in French and can accept instructions in this language.
