A Legal Director in the firm’s Immigration team Gurjit has extensive experience, advising businesses, individuals and families in all aspects of UK Immigration Law.  Since qualifying as a solicitor, Gurjit has worked exclusively in this field, allowing him to assist a wide range of clients at various stages of their immigration journey.

Gurjit provides advice and assistance to businesses across a range of sectors and on all immigration matters, including; advising on sponsor licence applications and how to manage the sponsorship licence; assisting with annual Certificate of Sponsorship allocation requests and increases to these allocations; advising on the process to assign defined and undefined Certificate of Sponsorships; reporting changes to UKVI; advising how to correctly carry out Right to Work checks on potential and existing employees; and providing training on the Sponsor Management System and carrying out immigration audits.

For individuals and families Gurjit advises clients on applying to enter the UK, applying for leave to remain, assisting their indefinite leave to remain application in the UK to finally submitting an application for British citizenship.  He can submit entry clearance applications for clients who wish to visit the UK, join their family or who wish to enter the UK under the requirements of the Points Based System.  He can assist with any Leave to Remain applications including but not limited to human right applications, spouse and partner visas, Global Talent visas, Skilled Worker visas, and Student visas as well as submitting Global Business Mobility visa applications to the Home Office.  Gurjit regularly represents clients in the First-Tier Tribunals and Upper Tribunals across the UK.

Gurjit has a keen interest in Human Rights law and the Post-Brexit Immigration system.

He is multilingual, being able to converse in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.  Gurjit has established a wide client base and is a member of the Law Society of Scotland Immigration and Asylum Sub-Committee.  He is also a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association.
