Employment Law | Remote Working: HR Questions Answered

Most people did not anticipate that remote working would become the norm for a substantial number of the workforce when the pandemic hit in March.  However as “working from home” remains the Government guidance where possible it does give rise to a number of questions.

Employment Law specialist, Noele McClelland hosted a short webinar to provide guidance on managing remote working and answer attendee questions.

Topics covered included:

  • What is my place of work?
  • Do contracts of employment need to be changed?
  • How is working time monitored?
  • If employees travel from home to see clients or service users, what should their mileage expenses be based on?
  • Are there any implications under the Working Time Regulations or National Minimum Wage Regulations?
  • What about flexible working requests?

If you have questions about managing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, please contact Chris or any member of the employment team on 03330 430350
