Ian is a second seat Trainee Solicitor in the Private Client team. He commenced his Training Contract in September 2023 and completed his first seat in the specialist Land & Rural Business team.
Ian graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Stirling and completed the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh. He was recognised for his effort and hard work when he received the Best performing student award for both the LLB and Diploma.
Prior to commencing his Training Contract, Ian completed two summer internships at Scottish Power, assisting their legal teams in renewable energy, land and property, regulation and corporate matters.
Ian has a particular interest in renewable energy matters and regulation of private factors in Scotland’s housing sector.
