Ian is a Solicitor in our Commercial Litigation team, advising a wide range of clients including public service providers, universities, SMEs, family businesses, individuals, and insolvency practitioners.
Ian advises on matters such as property disputes, debt recovery, insolvency, housing, commercial leases, and professional negligence. He can also assist with guardianships, and alcohol licensing.
Ian is committed to delivering practical, client-focused advice. He also has experience working in-house and has volunteered with the Mock Court project.
Before joining Thorntons, Ian graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Stirling and completed the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh. He was recognised for his effort and hard work when he received the Best performing student award for both the LLB and Diploma.
