Employment Rights Act 2025 – Part 2 Harassment

Employment Rights Act 2025 – Part 2 Harassment

Workplace harassment remains a key area of risk for employers, with increasing expectations on organisations to take proactive steps to create safe and respectful working environments. Alongside the preventative duty introduced in 2024, the Employment Rights Act 2025 will introduce further changes that are set to strengthen employee protections and place additional responsibilities on employers to take all steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace and to prevent harassment of staff by third parties.

In this session, Stephen Connolly, Employment Law Partner, and Amy Bargh, Employment Law Soliciotr, recap employers’ current obligations to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace and explore the forthcoming legislative reforms. They'll explain what the changes mean in practice, highlight potential areas of risk, and provide practical guidance to help employers review their policies, procedures and workplace culture with confidence.
