Employment Law | Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Employment Law | Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Around one in seven people in the UK are thought to be neurodivergent, which is more than 15% of the UK workforce.  However many employees do not disclose this information and employers are therefore unable to maximise their skill base.

There is growing awareness of neurodiversity and more information about how employers can make adjustments to support their employees by creating inclusive environments that benefit all employees and employers.

In this webinar, Employment Law specialist, Chris Phillips, with guest host Joanna Panesa from Scottish Autism examine some of the many benefits and occasional challenges of embracing a neurodiverse workforce and particular legal implications for employers. They also provide some practical guidance for employers to ensure they are providing a supportive and inclusive environment for teams and individuals.

This webinar covered:-
  • Application of the Equality Act
  • Reasonable adjustments
  • Work environment and policy considerations
  • Practical tips and sources of support

If you have questions about managing challenges and embracing a neurodiverse workforce or any other employment law issues, please contact Chris or any member of the employment team on 03330 430350.
