Forfar’s answer to Oktoberfest has secured continued sponsorship from two local firms for this year’s festival.

Angus Brewfest, an annual food and drinks festival taking place at Strathmore Hall in John Street, is being supported by Thorntons Solicitors and EQ Chartered Accountants. This year's live music entertainment includes 'Dogs off the Lead' - an unplugged acoustic set performed by local band Dog Days of Summer and party band The Super Zings.

The event offers a vast selection of beer and non-alcoholic drinks from Scottish brewers and producers – many of which are local to Angus. This year, festival-goers will be able to taste samples from Carnoustie Distillers, Gin Bothy, Ogilvy Distillers and Redcastle Brewery to name a few.

David Mathieson, Partner at Thorntons, said: “Angus Brewfest is a popular event with the local community and a great attraction for visitors too so we are proud to show our support for another year. We hope our sponsorship will help make the event even bigger and better.”

“We’ve supported Angus Brewfest since it started,” said Graeme Davidson, Partner at EQ. “It’s great to see it established as a popular annual event. The local community appreciate their local food and drink producers and this event brings the two together to celebrate that.”

Angus Brewfest 2019 takes place on Saturday 19 October at Strathmore Hall in Forfar. Tickets can be purchased here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/angus-brewfest-2019-tickets-59319438036.
