Zara Balling

Zara is a final seat Trainee Solicitor in the Employment team. She joined Thorntons in September 2024 and completed her first three seats in Private Client, Personal Injury and Family.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Edinburgh.

Zara has a particular interest in legal services for individuals and families, and prides herself on her empathetic approach and taking time to understand each client’s individual needs.

Prior to joining Thorntons, Zara gained experience in a central belt firm and took part in the LawPALS initiative at the University of Edinburgh which provides mentoring support to first year law students.
