Lucy Hennessy

Based in Glasgow, Lucy is a Solicitor in the Corporate team, working alongside Partner Kim Campbell. She advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including business sales and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and shareholders/partnership agreements.

Lucy works with a wide range of clients - from individuals and small businesses to large companies and lenders. She specialises in the healthcare sector, and advises dental practitioners, pharmacists, GPs, and operators of care homes/nurseries on running and growing their businesses. She enjoys helping her clients navigate the unique challenges and opportunities their businesses present. 

Lucy is known for her clear, commercially-focused advice and her commitment to 
understanding the practical and strategic considerations that matter to their business. She is passionate about delivering advice that truly supports her clients’ goals.

Before joining Thorntons, Lucy graduated with a First Class Scots Law LLB and a Distinction in the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Glasgow. She also gained experience working in Private Client, Conveyancing and Commercial Property at a high street firm during her studies. 

Outside of the office, Lucy is a Committee Member of the Trainee and Newly Qualified (TANQ) Society of the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow.
