Ellie Armstrong

Based in our Glasgow office, Ellie is a second seat Trainee Solicitor in our Commercial Real Estate team. She completed her first seat in Data Protection. 

Ellie studied Scots Law with French Language at the University of Glasgow and spent a year in Strasbourg studying French Law. She also completed a summer placement in our Employment Law team, gaining valuable insight into client-focused legal practice.

Ellie has a particular interest in Family Law and is passionate about delivering fast, responsive service tailored to each client’s needs. She is known for her client focused  approach and commitment to client care.

Before joining Thorntons, Ellie volunteered with the University of Glasgow’s GO Justice team on a collaborative Street Law project with The Marie Trust, a homelessness charity based in Glasgow. She also taught a workshop on Employment Law as part of the Trust’s education service.

In addition to this, Ellie was previously published in the Law Society of Scotland Journal about the importance of delivering public legal education projects in the community.
