Prime Legal Work Experience Programme
As part of our commitment to widening access to law, we run our Prime Work Experience programme — a week-long work experience programme for school students from less-advantaged backgrounds. The programme gives you a friendly, supportive introduction to legal subjects and the profession, showing you that a career in law is open to everyone. This year we will be offering programmes in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
What you’ll experience:
• Hands-on Legal Tasks: Try out real activities like case studies, drafting documents, and researching the law.
• Shadowing & Mentorship: Spend time with experienced solicitors who’ll share their knowledge and guide you through real situations.
• Interactive Workshops: Take part in fun, practical sessions on key legal skills — from negotiation to advocacy.
• Courtroom Experience: Step inside a local court and see the law in action.
Dates for our upcoming programmes are:
Glasgow: 29 June - 3 July 2026
Edinburgh: 10 - 14 August 2026
Dundee: 20 - 24 July 2026
