Ronnie is a Partner in our Litigation Team in St Andrews, and specialises in contentious legal work including Family Law, Landlord and Tenant disputes and payment actions in the Sheriff Court. He has been practising in St Andrews since 1978.

In 2003 Ronnie was appointed Secretary of the Fife Valuation Appeal Committee by the Sheriff Principal of Tayside Central and Fife, dealing with rating and council tax appeals. He is the long-serving and much-appreciated Secretary of the St Andrews Business Club.

Ronnie conducted the case for the successful Defender in Barker and others .v. Lewis, which is now a precedent for interpreting the Title Conditions (Scotland) Act 2003, section 8 (3) (A). He is also founder of the Freecycle Fife East website, part of a worldwide recycling movement, and a former Community Councillor. St Andrews Environmental Network, of which Ronnie is Chairman, undertakes various environmental projects and provides advice to local individuals and bodies on saving energy and reducing energy costs in St Andrews and the surrounding areas.

Ronnie's main area of interest and expertise is Family Law, particularly the financial aspects of divorce and separation, cohabitation agreements and pre and post nuptial agreements.
