A Partner in our Edinburgh office, Christian has over 20 years’ experience specialising in tax and estate planning, and is a regular speaker on the legal conference circuit. He advises clients on Wills, succession planning, executry management, capital tax mitigation, mental health and capacity issues, trust law, charity law, and asset protection

Christian has significant experience in advising private and public clients on the creation, administration and winding up of trusts and charities, and also has expertise in advising major UK charities in both contentious and non-contentious succession issues in Scotland.

Christian has a particular interest in the mental health of service personnel, and is UK Director and Charity Trustee of Combat Stress, the Veterans' Mental Health Charity.

Christian is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a Trustee and Chairman of The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Regimental Trust, and a Governor of Kilgraston School in Perthshire. He has previously been a nominated Foreign and Commonwealth Office Secondee to the OSCE, and a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Investor Protection Committee.
