After working on his family farm in Fife Colin decided to take up law, obtaining his qualification from Dundee University.
Colin's experience includes all aspects of land and estate purchases and sales as well as agricultural landlord and tenant issues. His extensive expertise also includes alternative land uses such as telecoms, wind farms and other diversification projects, security work acting on behalf of Banks and Landowners, succession planning, estate and farm re-organisations, option agreements, contract farming agreements and all types of agricultural leases.
Colin has been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Agricultural Law since 2005 and was appointed as legal advisor to the Tenant Farming Forum in June 2011.
His professional memberships include Scottish Land & Estates, Scottish Agricultural Arbiters and Valuers Association, National Farmers' Union of Scotland, Agricultural Law Association, Scottish Agricultural Arbiters & Valuers Association, Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland and the Farmer's Club.
