The curling competition, which is held in the Dewars Centre, brings together people from the agricultural industry to enjoy a day of sport and networking.

Twelve teams took to the ice for the day-long event, with staff from Campbell Dallas coming out on top.

The Land and Rural Business team of Tayside's largest law firm, Thorntons, are the official sponsors of the event and winners were presented with their trophies by Liz Barr, head of the Land and Rural department.

She said: "The Thorntons Farmers' Trophy is an event we look forward to all year and it was another brilliant day of sporting fun.

"The event attracts a great mix of people – from farmers to professionals who advise the rural sector – so it's a great chance to meet with like-minded people and chat about business and the industry.

"Congratulations to the team from Campbell Dallas for taking home this year's trophy and thanks to everyone who came along and took part in the competition."
