Dunfermline Athletic are pleased to announce the club’s first ever social media partner ahead of the Ladbrokes 2017/2018 Championship season.
The club has partnered up with leading Scottish law and estate agency firm Thorntons’ which will see joint branding on all Facebook and Twitter posts, and an entry on the official club website.
The club’s social media channels have seen a positive boost since the Pars United takeover in 2013, with the club’s Twitter feed regularly reaching over 2.5 million views per month, and the Facebook page reaching 150,000 views per week.
Chairman, Ross McArthur said: “We are delighted to have Thorntons on board and backing the Football Club ahead of the new season. I believe this is a first in Scottish football for a club to have an official social media partner, it shows again, the forwarding thinking at our club for ways to increase commercial income, whilst providing a fresh and innovative way to promote a local businesses.”
