Data Protection | Data Protection & Privacy During the Coronavirus Pandemic

As the Scottish Government announces their plans for lockdown to continue, remote working is starting to feel like the new normal for many of us.  Many organisations had systems in place to allow remote working, but lots of businesses had to adapt quickly to allow them to continue to operate.  The ICO issued early guidance recognised that organisations may have to share information quickly, adapt their working practices, or that they may face challenges with reduced resource available to them.

Data Protection specialists, Loretta Maxfield and Morgan O’Neill hosted a short webinar to discuss all of these points and answer attendee questions.

Topics covered included:

  • Home working, sharing information and added security risks
  • Is there potential for an increase in data breaches?
  • Collecting additional data about the health of your employees,
  • Cyber Security attacks and managing them remotely.
  • SAR responses

If you have questions about handling data protection remotely, please contact Loretta or Morgan on 03330 430350.

Broadcast: 25 May 2020. The content in this webinar, guidance and advice provided by the host, is correct at the time of broadcast. If you are watching a recording after the broadcast date please contact us for the most up to date guidance and advice on this topic.
