Growing older can often make coping with the ups and downs of daily life a little more difficult. From time to time, we may find ourselves looking to someone for extra support or advice. Thorntons Eldercare advisers can help take the worry out of organising your personal affairs no matter how complex or muddled they may at first appear. |
Eldercare can enable people to live the kind of life they want to live, either by helping to maintain their independence by being able to stay in their own home or providing assistance if a move into a care home becomes necessary.
ElderCare
Whatever your needs and wishes are, we can help you to take control of your situation or that of a relative or friend. For some, this may mean support to stay in your own home, whilst others may choose the option of residential care. Whatever your circumstances, we can help and provide support either on a one off or on an ongoing basis.
Assistance with financial and other personal affairs
An Eldercare advisor can meet with you for a full assessment and review of your affairs, review your personal legal needs and, if necessary, make arrangements for our solicitors to advise you regarding a Will or Power of Attorney. Organise any assessments and support in consultation with other suitable agencies providing guidance and put you in touch with individuals or organisations that provide assistance with domestic tasks, meal preparation, assistance with visits outside the home and those who can provide more specialist nursing care.
Thereafter provide ongoing assistance with payment of household bills and making arrangements regarding home maintenance and other support services, liasing with providers on your behalf.
