Land and Rural Business

Removing the grey areas from Land & Rural Business

With considerable expertise in the area of agricultural law, gained from advising a broad base of clients involved in agriculture, rural land and estate management,we are aware of the benefits to farmers and landowners when they have direct access to a team of agricultural specialists.

With a long tradition of both working and being a part of the agricultural community, the firm's Land and Rural Business team has two accredited specialists in Agricultural Law.

Their diverse experience of land and rural business matters brings a depth of knowledge, working with tenant farmers and estate managers on day to day business and agricultural matters through to disposing of large estates under management. The team also played a key role in the purchase of Panmure and Southesk Estates in Angus which were sold largely to the sitting tenants.

Thorntons realise the importance of agriculture and offer advisers who not only have specialist knowledge of the sector, but an understanding of rural and agricultural life generally.
