Tayside's leading legal firm has announced plans to relocate its Dundee property services division to its Yeaman Shore headquarters in order to integrate its legal and property services.
Thorntons Property Services will move from its current site at Whitehall Crescent into a new specially-designed spacious and modern outlet in Whitehall House.
George Solley, director of property sales at Thorntons, said: "Although over recent years footfall has generally shifted towards the internet, customers buying or selling property are still looking for a high quality, local service for that reason property shops remain an important part of the selling and purchasing process.
"By bringing together our estate agency, mortgage and legal departments under one roof we can offer our clients a unique and competitive one-stop service.Clients looking to buy or sell property will continue to have access to our specialist property sales teams as well as details of all our properties for sale and they will also now be able to speak to a property solicitor quickly and easily for advice on the legal aspects of moving house.
"Several of our other branches operate their legal and estate agency service under one roof which makes life easier for clients and we hope to replicate the success of these operations in Dundee.
Work on the new base for the firm's estate agency will begin in the next few weeks and be completed by early Autumn this year.
