Thorntons Property moves in to new home and announces fantastic prize draw to win your legal fees paid

Tayside's leading estate agency will formally open the doors to its new Dundee home in Whitehall House, Yeaman Shore tomorrow (Thursday 3 September) after work has been completed on a new bespoke Property Shop.

To celebrate the opening of its new Dundee home, Thorntons Property Services have announced a charity prize draw which will allow one lucky winner to snap up a deal when selling their property. The winner of the generous prize draw will receive their legal and estate agency services from Thorntons but without a fee for legal or estate agency services being charged on the sale. *For even a mid-priced property, this could offer a saving in the region of £2000.For someone purchasing a new home this could make a huge difference and allow renovation work to take place, help with the costs of carpets – it could even allow the winner to take a much needed holiday to get over the stress of moving!

Entries can made by calling into Thorntons' new Dundee property shop and filling in an entry form. Anyone is eligible to enter, whether or not they are a client of Thorntons.

Entrants to the prize draw can make a positive difference to the lives of children across Tayside by making a donation to the Radio Tay listeners' charity Cash for Kids upon entering the draw. All proceeds raised during the Prize Draw will go to the charity which benefits local children and young people. The draw will be open until noon on Thursday 17 September when a winner will be drawn. Anyone calling into the new branch before that date can enter the draw.

Cash for Kids Co-ordinator, Lynda Curran, said "We are delighted that Thorntons is supporting us through this fantastic prize draw. Cash for Kids helps children throughout Tay Territory so all those who enter can be assured that every single penny is changing the lives of kids on their own doorstep. Earlier this year we received 350 applications and awarded over £230,000 in grants.Companies like Thorntons play a big part in the charity being able to help around 26,000 children every year."

Thorntons announced plans earlier this year to relocate its Dundee property services division to its Yeaman Shore headquarters as work began on the development of the new ground floor 'property shop' within Whitehall House where the legal side of the firm moved to in early 2007.

New improved sales areas and plasma screens highlight all properties for sale and customers can quickly access information from the new facility occupying a key position in the Dundee estate agency quarter.

The estate agency team will be supported by property solicitors and independent mortgage advisers all located within Whitehall House, on-hand to give clients and callers one to one advice on all aspects of buying and selling.

George Solley, director of property sales at Thorntons, said: "The Dundee market has shown steady improvement over the last three months and a renewed confidence in the market is encouraging buyers off the mark.

"By integrating our legal and property services we are best placed to offer buyers and sellers the best advice under one roof and we are looking forward to welcoming new clients to our great new property shop."
