Increase to National Minimum Wage

With effect from 1 October 2008 the National Minimum Wage changed to the following:-

• £5.73 for workers aged 22 and over;
• £4.77 for workers aged 18 to 21 (inclusive); and
• £3.53 for workers aged 16 and 17.

Employers should ensure that they have increased their rates accordingly for individuals who are employed on the National Minimum Wage.
