Thorntons Solicitors has announced a major investment in its Forfar-based team.
Partner Anne McKeown is now based full-time in Forfar having previously split her time with Arbroath.She advises clients on court actions, liquor licensing matters, divorce and separation and criminal and road traffic offences, and will also now advise clients on general legal advice including making a will and other personal legal affairs.
The legal team will be further strengthened by the arrival of associate Margaret Allan from Thorntons' Dundee office. A property lawyer with more than 20 years' experience, she will also be responsible for developing business law services in Forfar.
And Roddy Maxwell will now become property manager for Thorntons' Property Shop, which is also based at 53 East High Street. Roddy, who has more than a decade and a half of experience of the Angus property market, will split his time between Arbroath and Forfar, assuming full responsibility for Thorntons' estate agency across Angus.
