Thorntons celebrates Rhythm and Dance at Fergusson Gallery reception

A leading legal firm is celebrating the launch of its new land and rural business law team in Perth at the Fergusson Gallery.

Thorntons Solicitors is hosting a reception for more than 70 guests at the Gallery to celebrate its recent expansion in Perth.

After having outgrown its former George Street premises, the firm's land and rural business team has recently been enhanced through the appointments of consultant Richard Blake and associate Anne Curtis.

Mike Blair, head of land and rural business team at Thorntons, said: "Thorntons is delighted to celebrate the expansion of its specialist land and rural business team in Perth at the Fergusson Gallery.

Thorntons' celebrations will be set against the colourful backdrop of Fergusson's Rhythm and Dance exhibition.

One of three temporary exhibitions which opened on Monday – Rhythm and Dance will include oil paintings, watercolours, drawings, sculptures, photographs and various other archival items which explore work dating from the early Paris period prior to World War One.

Melissa Munro, Art Officer at the Gallery, said: "The Fergusson Gallery is the largest collection of his works in the world, houses more than 5,000 works and more than 6,000 archival items.

"The Rhythm and Dance exhibition is particularly exciting as it will feature one of the artist's most significant works, Rhythm, dated 1911."
