Thorntons Solicitors is celebrating a milestone in the capital after outgrowing its current premises.
The firm's first Edinburgh office in North Castle Street opened in November 2004, beginning with just one fee earners.
Three years later, led by Partner Clare Macpherson, the team of six handles mainly Court of Session actions representing clients from across Scotland.
Dealing with a variety of cases from personal injury claims, professional negligence and commercial actions, the new office at 16 Alva Street will provide room to grow and broaden the practice.
The additional space will also provide a home away from home for the Tayside-based firm's business law team based in Dundee.

"Although we started with just me plus a support team of two,the Edinburgh team has now grown to six with two more solicitors joining us in January 2008.
