Dundee solicitor Lesley Larg has become one of the youngest Partners to be appointed by legal firm Thorntons.
Lesley (29), a well known legal specialist advising the creative industries in Scotland, was educated at Rockwell High School and studied law at the University of Dundee.
She joined Thorntons in 2001 and has advised a wide range of businesses, organisations and individuals on intellectual property and information technology issues.
Lesley spent time on secondment to the Commercialisation Office of a leading Scottish University and more recently has concentrated on building the firm’s profile in Scotland’s buoyant creative industries sector dealing with concert promoters, record labels, gaming companies, artists and songwriters.
She is closely involved in the planning of T in the Park as one of the legal advisers to promoters DF Concerts.
A senior member of Thorntons’ Intellectual Property team, Lesley also advises businesses and education establishments on a range of regulatory and compliance issues ranging from data protection to disability discrimination.
