A charity art exhibition held at the Bonar Hall has raised £10,000 for Cancer Research.
And lucky local retired dentist Phil Higginson was presented with an original print from the fundraising exhibition sponsored by Tayside's leading solicitors Thorntons and Henderson Loggie Chartered Accountants.
The biennial exhibition, in its tenth year, which took place earlier this month showcased the work of more than 100 local artists. With more than 350 pieces on display, it has now raised more than £110,000 in total from the previous exhibitions.
It also received support from the artists themselves who all pledged a portion of their proceeds to the charity.
Nick Barclay, managing partner at Thorntons, said: "We received an overwhelming amount of support at the exhibition and are delighted to have been able to help add to the significant total raised so far with the help of all who attended."
George Hay, chairman of Henderson Loggie, added: "This year's event was a great success and we are grateful everyone who came along to the exhibition and bought the magnificent paintings for sale.We are are delighted to present one of the paintings, which was first prize in a prize draw on the opening evening, to Mr Higginson today.
